The honor of the first message goes to Beth "Jones" Elliott and Paul. Great people who have donated much of their time in the past to the 20th reunion and it is appreciated.........
This October Paul and I will have been married 25 years. Since we went to school together since the second grade, believe me it feels like 50. Our oldest daughter, Lauren, is teaching fifth grade in Richardson Texas. Our other daughter, Lindsay, is a sophomore at Texas A&M.
Paul works for Verizon and I work as a speech therapist in the schools in Southlake, Texas. We moved to the country last April and tried to hide from the girls but no such luck. On one hand, it has been nice getting away from all the traffic and congestion, but on the other hand, it is so far from civilization.
We don't have any grandkids, but we do have granddogs. Along with our Cocker Spaniel, Mattie, our girls have a Boxer named Rocco and a Maltese named Zoey that come and visit us on the weekends. Our cat, Skittles, just usually hides for the whole weekend they're here.
Sorry we can't make it, but would love to hear what everyone else is up to.

Dennis Thompson
I resided in the Cardington area until 1980. I moved to Orlando Florida where I still reside with my son Cory(21). I married in 1980 to a Florida gal and we were divorced in 2000. I worked at Pepsi Cola for 9 years and have been in bussiness for myself Painting custom homes for the last 13 years. I have enjoyed the south, but to be honest the best friends that I have in life are the people that I grew up with. I still keep in contact with several classmates. In the past few years I feel that I have come into touch with what I really enjoy in life and that is being creative. I have a website with my poetry at Dennis in Orlando My long term goals are to eventually write screen plays. I hope in the next five years to be able to get to that point. A publishing company in Tennesse is interested so that gives me reason for hope in that area. I am a hopeless romantic, a dreamer I guess.
my present goals are to help my son chase his dreams. My parents died in 1976 and 79' and that probably derailed me some. Once my son has his place in life I will concentrate on myself more.
The perfect ending for me will not to retire, but rather be somewhat sucessful in writing and buy a bed and breakfast in Key West and continue writing and indulge in my photography. Hopefully I will find that right Lady in life as well.
Evelyn Bronson Sullivan:
Hi Dennis,
I had to be in a wedding in Pittsburgh that weekend. My mom called me the week before, and we even considered trying to make it happen, but the wedding started at 4PM and went thru to 10PM. It's hard to believe it's been 30 years isn't it? We can all compare gray now! Wow. I was surprised when I read the address roster how many people have staying in the area - remarkable few have migrated.
Thank you for taking the time to contact me. And thank you for the time you have put into consolidating an address list - the web site - and the personal touch you put on the letter. I was sorry to hear Tim Hildebrand lost both his parents. He goes to church with my mom, and she didn't know we even knew each other! The county, let alone the school, isn't that big .
I have attached two photos - I don't know if you remember my youngest sister, Karen, but she and I started running together when she moved here (many years ago now) and I convinced her to try marathon running. This is at the finish of her first marathon - and we're both still smiling.
The second picture is of my husband, Pat and I at our friend's wedding.
Stay in touch - now that you have my e-mail I should be able to plan in advance to make the next one. My home address is:
8866 Olde Mill Run
Manassas, VA 20110
home: 703-330-0243
Toni Baer Lindstead:
I'm sorry we couldn't make it to the reunion. I can't remember the details, but I think we found out about it something like a couple weeks before it happened and we had just been to Ohio. Anyway, we will try to show up at the 35th! Besides, I think I volunteered to help with the 25th which never happened because I never did anything! Kudos for you, Dennis for trying to get everyone together! I don't have any current pictures of Dave and I but I will forward the picture of Cooper (see below) getting his championship about a month ago!
Thanks for trying to keep us in touch!
Here's a synopsis of my life to date!
Toni (Baer) Linstedt update as of May 2005.
Dave Linstedt and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last August. We have no children but always have at least one canine companion in our lives. Our current one is CH Centurion Coopers Brown Juju - a liver spotted Dalmatian. He is great fun and introduced me to a new hobby - showing dogs in conformation. I've had a lot of fun putting Cooper's championship on him.
After finishing college in 1978 from Bowling Green State University, I taught high school speech, English and drama for two years in Circleville, OH. Then we had an opportunity to move to North Carolina with Dave's company - Becton Dickinson. (He is still with BD and celebrates his 28th anniversary with them this summer.) We spent the next 16 years in Charlotte, NC and my heart is still there. It is a wonderful place to live and hopefully we'll get back there one day. Dave developed his passion - playing golf - while we lived there.
When we moved to Charlotte, I got a job as a sales rep for a college textbook publisher. After about four years I changed to a medical publisher called Mosby. In 1998 Mosby was acquired by Harcourt and then in 2001, Harcourt was acquired by Reed-Elsevier, a global publisher of legal, medical, educational, and business content. Somehow, I have managed to survive all those changes and am currently the Executive Vice President, US Sales for Elsevier Health Science.
In 1996, we moved from Charlotte to Plano, TX (Dallas area) where we spent 4 years. In late 1999, we moved to St. Louis, MO so that I could quit commuting there which I had done for the preceding 5 years. We both feel fortunate to work for companies that have accomodated our dual careers for so many years!
Our moms both still live in the Cardington area so we visit at least a couple times a year. Hopefully the next class reunion will coincide with one of those visits!
